A revised edition of this hugely popular book on home educating, with an epilogue showing what some of the home educated young people the author knew as children have achieved now they’ve grown up!

Well done Ross Mountney for writing this book you really are an inspiration… I would say this book is a must read for anyone considering home education or for people who are having doubts about the school system.

I have been home educating for over 20 years and have read many, many books, but Ross’ rates amongst my favourites, and is one I keep by my bed ( my home education bible!)

This is the most wonderful book for any parents who are either contemplating home education for their children or who already are doing so. Written in a warm and humorous way by a lovely lady who knows what she is talking about.

We have just finished our first year of home education, and this book was the one that sat by my bedside. If you are having a doubtful or worrying moment about home education, this is the one book to go to!

I love the fact that I can dip into this book and be reassured in just a few minutes. Sometimes some well qualified advice from someone who has been there before you is exactly what is needed to turn a home educating day around.

Ross Mountney began writing about home education with The Diary of a Home Educating Nobody, her regular piece in the Education Otherwise newsletter. With the advent of the internet, she created her blog, Ross Mountney’s Notebook, in which she continued to offer words to encourage and comfort both new and established home educators alike.

A Home Education Notebook is a collection of some of Ross’s most popular articles, and blog posts and original material added, arranged in 52 chapters so you can be sure to dip in and find inspiration every week of the year.

Ross is also the author of Learning Without School: Home EducationA Funny Kind of Education and Mumhood, as well as her children’s books Who’s Not In School? and The Wrong Adventure.
